David Howard Thornton was the sixth person to audition for Art the Clown after Mike Giannelli left the role and his acting career. During the trial, he began by imitating tasting the blood of his headless victim, but then added salt to enhance the taste.

In the shots where Tara is taped, the tape is clearly not coming into contact with the bottom of her mouth in some earlier shots, while in other shots it is tightly stretched around both of her lips.
