Having only watched the first two episodes of Landman, it’s pretty obvious that this is going to be another hit for Taylor Sheridan. Billy Bob Thornton is once again fantastic in this role as a land leasing and management company for oil rigs and the crews that run them.
Other cast members include John Hamm, Demi Moore, and Jacob Lofland, whose characters are still in development
His streetwise daughter, Ainsley, played by Michelle Randolph, steals a bit of the show as a self-centered, spoiled teenager who seems decidedly out of place in West Texas oil country. If the rest of the 2024 series is as good, I suspect my 9 rating will hold up historically.
