It tells the story of three very different families who compete to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion. They think it will solve all their problems.. Dennis Leary and Ray Romano appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002-present).. I was surprised that the show was so underrated, but it made more sense after seeing so many reviews explaining how it didn’t get past the first episode. The show is a slow-paced mystery thriller and may not be for everyone. I personally found it very funny and entertaining with a particular tone from Liz Feldman, which I enjoy. I really liked the cast and everyone’s performances. I wasn’t sold on Ray Romano at first due to my own prejudices (I couldn’t for the life of me separate him from Everybody Loves Raymond), but that was quickly taken away. All the different characters have their own subplots and it creates a tangled web that gradually, if not completely, unravels. Despite the fact that the main plot is set up so quickly, by the last episode, I was pretty invested in the story. I’m not mad about it though. I’d love to see more of this show and I really hope it gets a second season.
