His son, David Zayas Jr., stands in for his father in some shots, as the two look remarkably similar. In season one, a large scar is seen on Dexter’s left side. Later, in season two, the scar has shifted to his right side, leaving his left side intact.

The complex and damaged characters, the twisted plot, and Dexter’s foster father who nurtures and trains him to be the perfect avenger – it’s all so intoxicating! Not only is this series well acted, with each and every main character capturing my full attention, but it’s also written with such a deep intensity that I find it absolutely irresistible! I really can’t wait to see more of Dex being traumatized as a child, more of Harry’s lessons, more of his growing relationship with Rita, more of the refrigerator truck killer, more of the forensics…
More of this great series, period
