Jesus and Mary are a couple who are going through a rough patch in their relationship. Regardless, they have just become parents. Don’t make it scary or shocking or with blood/splatter. None of these. But the accident made the rest of the film unbearable. I’m not sure about the comedic parts, it doesn’t fit with the rest, and it would have worked better without it, more realistic and serious. But the director probably wanted to lighten the film a bit, since the premise is quite dark. Nevertheless, I felt it was exaggerated and silly at times, which I didn’t like. Compared to the fun games I’ve made, it lacks excitement and you just want it to be over. So you don’t really care what happens next until the reveal happens. I couldn’t even focus on their conversations because I was so restless all the time. I can’t say if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. It really puts you in a 1:1 situation with the father, so goal accomplished! But it’s a waste of a really long middle that you just want to skip and don’t want to invest in watching because it drags you out so much.
